Michael Lynn Adams will present a solo show of recent paintings at the Kwan Fong Gallery of Art and Culture on the campus of California Lutheran University in Thousand Oaks. The exhibit will run from September 11 through October 8, 2010 with a reception on Sept. 11 at 3 pm.

Bruce Sanford Day's painting "Come Exploring" has been juried into the Top 100 of the Paint America Competition and Exhibit 2009. The exhibit will travel nationally beginning in spring 2010, and is accompanied by a hgih-quality exhibition catalogue.

Rick Delanty was one of twenty-three California artists selected to participate in the Second Hearst Castle Plein Air Invitational during May and June 2010. Other southern California CAC members included Michael Obermeyer and Michael Situ.

Jay Goldstein has been elected a Sculptor Member of the National Sculpture Society in New York. His work can be seen in the upcoming National Sculpture Society’s 77th Annual Exhibition which will be held beginning in August at the Brookgreen Gardens in Murrells Inlet, SC, and the “Birds in Art 2010” Exhibition in September at the Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum in Wausau, WI.

Anita Hampton is collaborating with Dr. David Saari, professor emeritus at American University on new teaching methods for the creative artist by addressing the essence of a painting, the creator, and supportive design. Their first educational artist workshop linking painting and neuroscience was held recently in Arroyo Grande, CA, with plans for future programs. Micaiah Hardison's painting "Leucadia Evening, High Tide" was accepted into the American Society of Marine Artists' (ASMA) North Regional Exhibition Between Shining Seas. The exhibition will be shown at the Wisconsin Maritime Museum (June 26 - August 22, 2010) and the Minnesota Marine Art Museum (September 7 - November 13, 2010).

Michele Hausman is a finalist for the American Artist Magazine cover competition 2010. Her painting "June Bloom", depicting the Big Sur coast in wildflowers, will be featured in the July issue of the magazine.

Dee Kirkham was selected for a solo exhibition at the Bowers Museum in Santa Ana, California from August 1 - October, 2010. During the exhibition, Dee will be participating in "meet the artist" events as well as other special events at the museum. She will also exhibit two still life paintings in the upcoming California Art Club Exhibition "California Heritage" at the Historic Blinn House in Pasadena, CA . The opening reception will be on Saturday, August 14, 2010 from 4:00 - 7:00pm.

Eric Merrell will present new paintings in a solo exhibition at The Forbes Galleries in New York City this summer, July 14 - September 25, with an opening reception on Tuesday, July 20. April Raber's painting “Laguna Lights" won third place at PAPA's Less is More show; participated in the Oil Painters of America's Nineteenth Annual Juried Exhibition of Traditional Oils at the Legacy Gallery in Scottsdale, AZ., which included her painting "Kaleidoscope"; and was a part of the California Art Club exhibition at the Long Beach Museum of Art where “Nightwatch" and “Bike Buddies" were on display. Her work is currently on display at the Festival of Arts in Laguna Beach.

Alfred Paredes recently placed 2nd and was awarded the Roger T. Williams Prize at the Young Sculptor Competition held at Brookgreen Gardens in South Carolina. The exhibit was sponsored by the National Sculpture Society. For more info click here.

Laurie Smith has received a Special Recognition Merit Award for her artwork in the 10th Annual Summer All Media Juried Online International Art Exhibition hosted by Upstream People Gallery and juried by Laurence Bradshaw, Professor of Art at the University of Nebraska at Omaha.

Yvonne Steinbach's oil painting "Serenity" is included in PaintAmerica's Paint The Parks Top 100 for 2009. The exhibition will be on tour for a full year; it is currently on view at the Kolb Studio in the Grand Canyon from August 1 - September 7, 2009. From there, the exhibition will travel to other parts of the country through spring 2010.

Teri Starkweather received First Place in the American Artist cover competition, Watercolor 2010. The artwork will be on view in the exhibition U.S. Arts Biennial at Broadway Gallery in New York City, September 16-31, 2010.

Linda Walker's painting "Party of Three" was honored as a finalist in Artist's Magazine 2010 Art Competition and selected as a Top 100 for the 2010 Paint America Competition. Linda has also been selected for inclusion in both the San Dimas Wildlife Art Festival (October 15 - 17) and for the San Bernardino Wildlife Art Festival (November 20 - 21).
