California Art Club and the Academy of Art University are starting our Fall portrait painting sessions at the Academy. We usually have two models, a man and a woman. The ratio of painters to models is approximately 6:1. More specific parking and building information will be given when a spot is reserved.
CAC Painting Retreat at Limantour Beach at Point Reyes National Seashore
We have finalized plans for the 2nd annual CAC Limantour Artists retreat for Friday, October 8 through Sunday, October 10 for two nights and three days!
It will be another fantastic weekend of painting, eating, and laughing together. Accommodations will be at the Hostel by Limantour Beach in Point Reyes National Seashore. The cost is very nominal and it is gorgeous at that time of the year out there. Paint all day with each other, hike, barbecue and hang in the comfy living room. Some of us have stayed there before and it's a bunk-bed kind of place with a full kitchen, living room area and outside picnic area and dorm room bunkhouses with showers and bathrooms. FREE BONUS: Sennelier is providing each retreat participant with a FREE set of six 21ml tubes of Artist's Oils as a gift. The set has a retail value of $64. They just want the CAC artists to try using the paints of Cezanne to discover the outstanding quality. (See photo below.)

Richard, A BIG, BIG thanks to you and Christin for putting this event on. A lot of nice folks and an "A" for getting the CAC going on a field trip. The weather was the BEST I've ever had painting in Point Reyes. The food was wonderful and brought everyone together, as we all chipped in to make it feel festive. I may have contributed to the snoring, but I don't think it bothered anyone too much. I look forward to another CAC event and hope it brings out the best in our part of the state.
